Pathways to Success student produced TV show to air this weekend

It is with much excitement that we announce the official launch of College Universe television program.  College Universe, a project of CVEP's Pathways to Success program, has been in production for several months and is the brain child of Ernie Rios, Pathways to Success Program Director.  The program is produced by CVEP/Pathways to Success Scholarship students who work both in front and behind the cameras, as well as in partnership with KPSP Local 2.  These students are currently majoring in business, political science, or film-TV at UCR, College of the Desert or CSU San Bernardino.

College Universe is a 30 minute television program which will air quarterly to highlight the role of education in career achievement. The inaugural episode features interviews with Dick Heckmann, entrepreneur, Holly Copeland, volunteer coordinator for PS International Film Festival and Jim Casey, Integrated Wealth Management.

College Universe has come to fruition because of the dedication and assistance from local professionals; these program producers include Gloria Margarita, Dr. Carreon Foundation, Jill Switzer, UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center, and Frank Ramirez, CSU San Bernardino.

The team at KPSP Local 2 has generously assisted with the production and the promotion of the program.  Click here to see the promotion on KPSP's Eye on the Desert or click here to see the promo spot to air on KPSP Local 2.

The first episode of College Universe will air this Saturday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. on KPSP Local 2.
