Here is a glance into what happened at CVEP this week. 

Small Business Resource Forum & Expo 

This Thursday CVEP will host its 3rd Annual Small Business Resource Forum and Expo.  There are over 30 companies in the banking, insurance, law and accounting industries that will be on hand to talk to local business owners about overcoming challenges and making 2011 a more profitable year. 

 

The event will be held at the Sun City Shadow Hills Club House from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday February 24th.  If you are interested in attending please click here for more information. 

Sustainable Land Development in the Coachella Valley 

Mark your calendars!  CVEP is sponsoring  the USGBC-IE Quarterly Membership Event to be held on March 10.  Hear from some of the most influential developers in the Coachella Valley and how they are considering sustainability and green building into their projects. 

Panelists to include:

Tom Davis - Chief Planning and Development Officer, Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians

Bill Havert - Executive Director, Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy

Mario Gonzales - CEO, GHA Communities

Stone James - Planning Commissioner, City of Indio

Tom Noble - CEO, Noble and Company

Thank you to those who supported our FAFSA Fundraiser  last week.  It was a great turn out and a good time was had by all.  In case you missed the event we were featured on KPSP Local 2 that evening, please click here to watch the news segment. 

 

Continuing our "February is FAFSA Month" this Wednesday, February 23, Pathways to Success is holding workshops throughout the valley to help local students and their families complete the FAFSA Applications.  Click here for more information and locations of the workshops.
