CVEP News

Dear CVEP Investor,

Here is glance into what happened at CVEP this week!

Local Win for Granite and CVEP - Solar

At CVEP's Renewable Energy Roundtable on Thursday morning, CVEP investor Granite Construction Co. announced their new solar power project that will power the company's asphalt plant and provide extra electricity to the Imperial Irrigation District.  The project uses  "super-efficient concentrated photovoltaic technology"  allowing the panels to produce more energy on less land.  Click here to read more about this exciting development.

Ever wonder how the California Economy or state budget works?

The State of California remains one of the world's largest economies and accounts for 13% of the nation's total output.  Please click the link to read Cal Facts, a broad overview of the California economy consisting of charts and tables answering some of the most frequently asked questions of the state's budget.

CVEP getting out in the Community...

This week CVEP was a sponsor of the 7th Annual Cleantech Investor Summit at the Renaissance in Indian Wells.  We had a display table with CVEP paraphernalia to demonstrate why the Coachella Valley was named "the epicenter for renewable energy" by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior.

CVEP also sponsored the 4th Annual Association of Commercial Real Estate Executives (ACRE) - Inlad Empire Economic Summit on January 19.  CVEP represented "Team Coachella" and presented on behalf of all nine Coachella Valley cities.  The topic "Climate for Success", highlighted why a company would want to open for business in the valley including quality of life, business climate and opportunities for future investment.

Thanks for reading and look for our newsletter next week!
Sincerely,

Tom Flavin
