In honor of National Suicide Prevention Week...

National Suicide Prevention Week starts today on Sept. 4 and culminates with World Suicide Prevention Day on Sept. 10

Suicide Prevention advocate and author of the forthcoming memoir, Cracked Not Broken; The Kevin Hines Storyhas reached international audiences with his message of hope and recovery. Kevin's story begins where it might have ended: with his attempt to end his life by jumping from the Golden Gate bridge when he was 19 years old. Miraculously, Kevin survived and has become a leading advocate of mental health and a voice for suicide prevention.  

Dr. Dan Reidenberg

Dr. Dan Reidenberg is the Executive Director of SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), a national non-profit agency working to prevent suicide and help suicide survivors and those suffering with brain illnesses. He is also the Managing Director of the National Council for Suicide Prevention and serves on the Steering Committees for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center.

Allan O'Keefe is a law enforcement officer with over ten years of active experience. He has been promoted to the rank of Detective and currently serves as President of the Florida Association of Hostage Negotiators (FAHN). Det. O'Keefe was selected as a member of the Sheriff's Office Crisis Negotiations Team where he has responded to numerous volatile barricaded suicides, suspect and hostage situations requiring his negotiation skills.

, M.D., Colonel (Ret), U.S. Army is a national expert on war-related mental health issues and traumatic brain injury and an advocate for eradicating the stigma of mental illness (especially in the military).  Dr. Hoge has testified to Congress on five occasions, and is interviewed frequently by national/international news organizations.  He is the author of a self-help book for combat veterans and families titled, Once a Warrior-Always a Warrior: Navigating the Transition from Combat to Home, including PTSD, mTBI, and Combat Stress.   
Jennifer Storm

Jennifer Storm is the Executive Director of the Victim/Witness Assistance Programin Harrisburg, PA. She received the 2011 Pathfinder Award for Excellence in Victims Services. She is author of several books, most recently, "Echoes of Penn State" which discusses the Sandusky scandal.
