Calling for 2010 Government Trailblazer Applicants

The Center on Government Performance of the National Center for Civic Innovation announces the opening of the application period for the fourth round of its Government Trailblazer Program.

The Trailblazer program encourages local and county governments to engage the public in their performance measurement and reporting processes with the aim of attaining greater alignment between the public's point of view and government's actions and priorities.

Applications for 2010 are due by March 15th. It is to your advantage to apply early since there are a limited number of stipends and spots available.

CAP Symposium: Accountability in the Obama Administration: Implications from Practice
Friday, April 9, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California

This symposium will compare and contrast the Obama administration's accountability initiatives with those of previous administrations. The focus will be on understanding new accountability developments, including the Obama Evaluation Initiative, against the backdrop of research about performance measurement, evaluation and other accountability measures adopted by previous administrations. Lessons learned from the practice of accountability and performance measurement as well as the likely effects of current accountability initiatives will be discussed.
