According to Mike Quinn, Stratton's VP Operations - Stratton has added two new trails, a terrain park on Big Ben, 300 energy efficient snow guns, two snowcats and solar compactors.
Two new trails this season hikes the count to 94.
The resort boasts 100 acres of glades and the fastest fleet of lifts in the East.
The 300 new, energy-efficient tower guns, which use 80-90% less air than land guns, are an extension of the Resort's commitment to the environment.
"With 300 powerful new snowguns, 220 million gallons of water at hand and the combined experience of our snowmaking and grooming team, we have the raw material to roll out that white carpet," said Mike. "In fact our system is so powerful, we can cover a football field in three feet of snow in just one hour."
"We did extensive work within our existing 100+ acres of gladed area. We had full time crews working through the summer cleaning up from last March's ice storms with particular focus of thinning out some of our most popular glided areas such as "Test Pilot", "Kidderbrook Ravine", "Diamonds in the Rough", "Vertigo", "Dancing Bear" to name a few."
