The trees are turning and we hope you can break away from down-country for a visit.

We're pretty much back to normal after Irene's visit. We can get around without inconvenience - but while you're here you can't miss noticing the damage from small streams and new river beds.

At the bottom of this newsletter is an update on the relief effort and a report on the funds received by the Stratton Foundation - Amazing Stuff!

Columbus Day Weekend is around the corner and this time of year is beautiful . . . try to come up!

For Rent / For Sale
Looking to Rent or Buy . . .

It has been our custom to provide a platform for members to see what other members may have for sale or for rent or to find a seasonal rental.

If you are either looking FOR something OR offer to rent or sell something let us know! We will place all the "ads" on a separate web page where (only) interested members can view the information.

Here are our suggestions: Word you "ad" as though you were placing it in a newspaper - too many words are not helpful. For example:

Wanted: Winter rental 2-BR/2Bath within 10 minute drive - call xxx-xxx-xxxx.

For Sale: Clean 2-BR, 2-1/2 bath Styles Brook condo - recent update and paint.

For Rent: 1 BR/1 Bath, private first-floor apartment - limited kitchen.

Always list a phone number and an e-mail address.

Irene Relief Effort - Update

The Stratton Foundation is extremely grateful for the outpouring of care and generosity from people who love Vermont and were moved by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irene.

Since the hurricane,

The Stratton Foundation has received $280,000.

100% of those funds will be distributed back
into the community.

Members of the Stratton Foundation board, town representatives, local rotaries, Neighborhood Connections and food pantries are working in partnership as a combined clearinghouse for folks who are seeking assistance. To donate, contact Tammy Mosher, Foundation Coordinator at (802) 297-2096 or
