Resiliency 101!

A week after the storm . . . Our section of Rt 30, Rt 100 and the Jamaica bridge are being worked on. We've all seen the names on the local trucks - Chaves, Brown, Coleman,O'Brien. They are all working together (OK, maybe the engineering and permits are nowhere to be found) - but we WILL have roads much sooner than anyone anticipated! Looking in both directions yesterday on Rt 30 from Bondville. There is nobody leaning on a shovel, no supervisors, no fancy field-office engineer's trailer, no meetings, etc. - just people working to get the job done!  Neighbors helping neighbors and an incredible Vermont spirit are truly indescribable! To contribute to the Relief Effort click on this link. While we're thrilled that you're so gung-ho . . . our "membership year" runs through September. At the month's end we keep all of your information on file (to make your renewal easier) and re-set the "paid" column to "unpaid."
We will send out an e-mail when it's all set - and of course, a hard-copy reminder in October as well. Oh, it IS OK to "Think Snow." |
