Assistive Technology: Texting

Yes, texting. We are accustomed to reading that texting promotes a distractible pattern of attention in teens, that it contributes to performance degrading multitasking, and that it is a life threatening activity to perform when driving a vehicle.

Texting, however, can be a useful way of reminding yourself or another of meetings and other scheduled events, such as meeting with a teacher after school or beginning homework. But to send a reminder someone at a specific time, you have to remember to send the message in real time. Now you can go to textitlater.com and program your text to be sent hours, days, months, or even years in the future. Then go about your merry way secure in the knowledge that your reminder text will be sent at the correct time. Be sure to read the useful uses page.
