Healthwork's Fitness Foundations Class to be Featured
Many of you know that I teach a senior fitness class for Healthworks. On Friday, January 23rd, from 8:35-9:00am, I'll be on the radio with Leanne Boyd and Tony Caridi to talk about the importance of classes for older exercisers. We'll be promoting the class by offering two free days in February ( the 6th and 13th) when anyone can come and try it out. The Fitness Foundations class meets at 9:30am on Fridays. |

Staying Strong in the Second Half of Life - Standing from a Chair
Many of you know that I am passionate about teaching strategies for improving the quality of life for people 50 and older. In recent months I have been showing everyone I encounter how to help older adults rise from a chair using the biggest and strongest muscles in the body. I hate to see people limit their activities because they lack confidence in this daily task. My newly posted a video on You Tube highlights this lesson. Be sure to share it with family and friends who could benefit from this simple strategy.
