Dog Days of Summer Next Tuesday!
 Bring your dog for a dip at The Lodge Outdoor Pool on Tuesday, September 4! Watch your pooch paddle and play in the water, receive some tasty treats and make some frisky new friends! Owners must show proof of the following shots in order for their pups to participate: Distemper, Parvo and Rabies. Des Peres Park Playground Work
 Beginning Tuesday, September 4, the playground for 5-12 year-olds in Des Peres Park will be closed for resurfacing. During these improvements the smaller playground will remain open for use. Weather permitting, the removal and installation should take a week with a projected re-opening of September 13. Thank you for your understanding as we make improvements to your park! |
ST. LOUIS ADVENTURE CHALLENGE!
 Join the race you'll never forget! The St. Louis Adventure Challenge is a mini-version of The Amazing Race! Co-ed teams of four will travel the St. Louis area searching for hidden check points by walking, running or biking. Your team will be tested with mental and physical challenges. Trailnet Bike Smart Class at The Lodge!
 Whether you are considering commuting to work by bike or simply want to learn more about how to ride safely, we have just the class for you! Trailnet will be offering a 3-hour, hands-on class on how to ride as visibly, predictably and safely as possible. The class, lead by a certified cycling instructor, will also include some basic bike maintenance. Class is Friday, September 7, 5-8 p.m. in The Lodge Activity Room. Call 314-835-6150 to register! |
Youth Sports Clinics This Fall!
 Des Peres Parks & Recreation is offering youth VOLLEYBALL and SOCCER clinics starting September 12. The volleyball clinic takes place on Wednesdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m., at The Lodge and will emphasize fun while teaching children, ages 6-14, the fundamentals of the game. The soccer clinic is offered on Wednesdays or Saturdays for ages 4-5 at Sugar Creek Park and will feature shooting, dribbling, defense and small-sided games.
