Take This Class & Start Composting!
 Many of us reduce, reuse and recycle, but we still throw away our food scraps. Instead of wasting those scraps, you can build a bin that contains enough worms to consume a whole week's worth, leaving you with great fertilizer to add to your potting soil. We'll supply you with everything you need to create your own worm composting bin and teach you how to maintain it. Fish Ed Casts Off September 4th!
 Learn to fish and build on your fishing techniques at our Fish Ed program! We will learn how to tie knots, rig a pole and catch fish! Equipment, instruction and supervision provided.  Kindermusik guides participants through activities that promote musical skills, coordination, language development, problem solving and social interaction. Youth Sports Clinics This Fall!
 Des Peres Parks & Recreation is offering youth VOLLEYBALL and SOCCER clinics starting September 12. The volleyball clinic takes place on Wednesdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m., at The Lodge and will emphasize fun while teaching children, ages 6-14, the fundamentals of the game. The soccer clinic is offered on Wednesdays or Saturdays for ages 4-5 at Sugar Creek Park and will feature shooting, dribbling, defense and small-sided games. Splash & Dash Youth Biathalon!
 Participate in our first ever biathlon, The Lodge Des Peres Splash and Dash! Boys and girls, ages 8-10, will compete in a 100-yard swim and 1-mile run. Boys and girls ages, 11-12, will compete in a 200-yard swim and 1.8-mile run. Boys and girls ages, 13-14, will compete separately in a 200-yard swim and a 1.8-mile run. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age bracket. The Splash & Dash takes place Saturday, September 29. CLICK HERE for details! |
NEW Upper Limits Rock Climbing Class!
 Join us for an indoor rock climbing adventure at Upper Limits! After taking this two-hour course, participants will have the knowledge and technique to top-rope climb indoors. This course teaches safety procedures, belaying, knot tying and equipment usage. The course fee includes rental gear, two hours of instruction, climbing for the remainder of the day of the class and coupons to use on your next visit.
