There are a few items that the contractor still needs to complete, but the rocks and ropes, slide and swings are all waiting for the kids to come out and play! If you park in the lot off of Dougherty Ferry, walk on the salamander path that leads you to the playground! |
Fencing Open House Next Wednesday!
 Engarde! This FREE demo offers an excellent introduction to the Olympic sport of fencing. Often called "physical chess," fencing is a safe and fun activity that hones both the body and the mind. Receive expert training from former National Egyptian Coach Hossam Hassan. Wear loose, comfortable clothes, long pants and athletic shoes; all other equipment will be provided. Golf Lessons Tee Off May 24th!
 This 4-week golf class is suited for players of all skills and abilities. Each student will receive individual instruction catered to meet their goals. Topics include, but are not limited to: equipment basics, pre-swing fundamentals, in-swing techniques and drills for improvement. Focus On Water Safety This Month!
 May is National Water Safety month, so this is a great opportunity to review water safety with your family before the busy pool season! Please talk with your children about the dangers of prolonged breath-holding. Some experts believe that shallow water blackouts may be the number one cause of swimming-related deaths over the past several decades, but a lack of awareness and education have prevented it from being documented. Camp Des Peres is Filling Fast!
 Calling all campers! Are you ready for a jam-packed summer full of games and laughs at Camp Des Peres? Campers will enjoy a variety of great activities under the supervision of our trained staff. Fee includes transportation, special events, swimming at The Lodge, camp shirt and camp supplies. Children must bring their own sack lunch and beverage, including water bottle, each day.
