Martial Arts Classes Begin Next Week!
This beginning Martial Arts class consists mostly of Tae Kwon Do and includes mental and physical strengthening, stretching, forms, timing exercises, target training, board breaking, tumbling and sparring. Advanced classes include Judo and Aikido training as well. Classes start February 7 at City Studio and are available for men, women and children ages 5 and up. Click here for details! |
Summer Camp Expo Coming Soon!
Stop by the Lodge on Saturday, February 11, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and see what we have planned for Summer 2012! Some of the camps featured: Camp Des Peres, Camp Tiny Tots, Aqua Adventure Camp, Challenger Soccer Camp, Jr. Lifeguard Camp, Mad Science Camp, Lacrosse Camp, Bit 'O Britain Camp and Balls-N-Strikes Camp. Representatives from our camps will be available to help you with your summer plans! |
Poster Contest for Area 5th Graders!
The City of Des Peres would like to invite 5th grade students to take part in our 2012 Arbor Day Poster Contest. In honor of our 29th year as a Tree City U.S.A., we are holding a poster contest for 5th graders that live, learn or play in Des Peres. Entries must be mailed or delivered flat to: The Lodge Des Peres, Attn: Tina, no later than Friday, February 17. The theme is "Trees, Got Oxygen?" Storybook Trail in Des Peres Park!
Another wonderful "Froggy" book will be featured along Storybook Trail this winter. Take a hike along our Storybook Trail in Des Peres Park the first two weeks of February. You and your child can get exercise while reading a book posted along the trail by the Des Peres Parks and Recreation Department. Storybook Trail is free and open to the public! |
Snapshot of Our Photography Classes!
The Lodge is offering digital photography and Photoshop classes for adults on Tuesday afternoons beginning February 28. One class will cover digital photography skills such as lighting, composition and color, and the other will focus on editing your snapshots in Photoshop. If you are looking for a fun and fluid workout for the New Year, try aquatic personal training! We have a variety of trainers to meet your needs. Packages come in single, four or eight one-hour sessions. Sessions can be modified for specific requests.
