(Español) Saludos a todos nuestros lectores. Soy la Hna. Theresa Elitz, directora del programa de Corazón Alimentado. En esta edición nuestro esquipo quiere rendir homenaje al ser que  nos trajo a este mundo, a nuestras mamás. Deseamos que en este mes de Mayo, todas nuestras mamás se sientan queridas y valoradas por la labor incomparable de amor que día a día demuestran a sus hijos, y que reciban muchas bendiciones de nuestro Ser Supremo, para que tenga salud y amor en sus familias.

Greeting to our readers! I am Sr. Theresa Elitz, director of the Corazon Alimentado program. In this edition, our team wishes to render homage to those who have brought us into this world, our mothers. We wish that in this month of May, all our mothers feel loved and valued for their incomparable love that they demonstrate to their children day after day. We wish them many blessings from the Supreme Being, that they have good health and much love within their families. |

El Amor de Madre (Español)
Cuando estuve en el vientre de mi madre, ella tuvo problemas de hemorragias internas, y tuve que salir a los 7 meses. Ella me contaba lo indefenso que yo me veía, muy pequeñito, pesaba sólo 4 libras, llorando sin fuerzas en una encubadora. Gracias a Dios, mis signos vitales respondieron bien, y su calor y cuidado me salvaron literalmente... la vida. Ahora me parece increíble verme en frente de esa mujer, y saber que soy físicamente más  fuerte y alto que ella, y ahora comprendo que ella es la puerta que permite que mi existencia sea, y que ante la vida yo sea un luchador incansable, pero en sus brazos soy un niño vulnerable. Hoy, señora, en tu día, quiero agradecerte porque por el milagro de la vida, me diste la existencia; porque antes me alimentabas con leche y papillas, y ahora me sigues alimentado con tu sabiduría y consejo; porque antes me cargabas en tus brazos y me ponías en un andador, y ahora tu palabra de aliento me levanta y me motiva a caminar en una vida tan dura; porque cuando me caí jugando, me pusiste un curita y le dabas un besito a mi herida, y ahora en mis momentos de fracasos tu consuelo es medicina para mi alma; quiero darte más que gracias, porque cuando traje esa mala calificación a casa o rompí ese adorno de la sala o manché esa pared desobedeciéndote, tú me corregiste rectamente y nunca me dejaste de amar, y ahora cuantas veces te dejé en el olvido, te levanté la voz sin razón, pero siempre me perdonaste y nunca te cansas de hacerlo. Ahora comprendo que a través del tiempo, la vida cambia y evoluciona, pero tu amor es intacto y a prueba de todo.

The Love of A Mother (English)
When I was in the womb of my mother, she had internal hemorragic problems, and I had to leave my happy home at 7 months. She told me I was defenceless, very small, and weighed only 4 pounds, crying without any effort in an incubator. Thank God, my vital signs responded well, and her warmth and care literally saved me...saved my life! Now it seems incredible to me to see that woman in front of me, knowing that I am physically stronger and taller than she is. And now I understand that she was the door that permits me to exist, and before being born, I was an untiring wrestler, but in her arms I was a vulnerable child.  Today, Mother, on your day, I want to show my appreciation to you because of the miracle of life that you gave me, because before, you fed me at the breast with your own milk, and now you continue to feed me with your wisdom and counsel; before, you carried me in your arms and put me in a walker, and now your words of encouragement lift me and motívate me to walk in a life that is very hard; when I fell playing and I scraped my knee, you put on a bandaid and kissed the sore, and now in my moments of failure your counsel is medicine for my soul; I wish to thank you many times over, because when I brought low grades home, and broke that ornament in the living room and stained the wall disobediently, you corrected me but never stopped loving me; and now many times I leave you and forget you, I raise my voice to you without any good reason, but you always pardon me and never tire of doing so. Now I understand through the years, life changes and evolves, but your love is always present and has endured the test of time.
