Letters to Santa
The City of Wichita teamed up with the North Pole to collect letters for Santa and give away early Christmas presents. The response was amazing. There were nearly 300 letters dropped off at CityArts, Cowtown and the Indian Center!

All children who gave us their Letters to Santa were not only guaranteed a response from Santa, but also were automatically entered into a gift drawing. Two grand prizes were awarded: a ride to school on a Wichita fire truck and a photo shoot in Splurge! magazine. Click here to read some of the letters we received.

"We Shall Remain" to be shown
The Mid-America All-Indian Center's Share our Culture Lecture Series kicks off 2011 with the airing of the PBS documentary "We Shall We Shall Remain SeriesRemain." The lectures are free and open to the public. Each of the film's five parts will be shown separately in January-March.

The film depicts how American Indians valiantly resisted expulsion from their lands and fought to prevent the extinction of their culture. By airing the documentary, the Indian Center is continuing its mission of building a greater awareness among the general public about American Indians and the role they played in shaping U.S. history.
