Greetings!

NEXT MEETING WED OCT 3rd, 6 - 8pm
First head-to-head of the season

We will meet on the first Wednesday instead of the Tuesday, because that's when the first Presidential Debate will occur. The topic is domestic policy, the host is Jim Lehrer of PBS NewsHour. Join us at 6pm at the Connecticut Yankee to watch our guy demolish the other guy. No-host bar, but PHDC will spring for some snacks. Endorsed candidates and campaigns will be there too, plus a preview of our endorsement door hanger. Door prizes, too.

FYI, the next debates will be Oct 11 (VPs), Oct 16 (town meeting on foreign & domestic policy), and Oct 22 (foreign policy).

WHEN: Wednesday, October 3, 6 - 8pm
WHERE: Connecticut Yankee, 100 Connecticut St @ 17th

Grand Opening of Coordinated Campaign HQ tomorrow (Saturday) morning!
U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will headline the campaign kickoff at the old Tower Records

This will be the joint Election 2012 command center for Organizing for America (OFA), the California Democratic Party (especially the Yes on 30 and No on 32 campaigns), and the San Francisco Democratic Party. There will be refreshments and breakfast snacks for all.

Following kickoff remarks to rally the troops, we'll start the day's work - phone banking, voter registration, canvassing, and more. Help re-elect President Barack Obama, and support Leader Pelosi's "Drive for 25" to win back the House. For questions and more info, email Ally Hergenraeder, S.F. Democratic Party Executive Director.

WHEN: Saturday, September 22, 10am
WHERE: 2278 Market St @ Noe/16th

Precinct-walk weekends: Oct 13-14 and 27-28 door hanger

What's the only piece of campaign literature that those who deliver it consistently get thanked for? Why, it's PHDC's famous blue door-hanger! "Decided democratically, delivered voluntarily" - without asking endorsed candidates or campaigns for money. We'll have a preview of this year's version (2010's is at right), and an opportunity to claim a precinct in Dogpatch or the Hill, at the Oct 3rd meeting/watch party. Oct 13-14 is the first weekend after vote-by-mail ballots come out, and Oct 27-28 is the last weekend before the election.

23rd Annual Potrero Hill Festival, Sat Oct 20

PHDC is a sponsor of this beloved neighborhood tradition, which benefits the Neighborhood House. We'll have a table there, doing last-chance voter registration, club outreach, candidate and issue advocacy, and 94107 t-shirt selling. 11am - 4pm on 20th Street between Wisconsin and Missouri.
