Issue: #35  Oct 12, 2011
Greetings!

These are fairly heady times, both inside and outside the system. The election is less than 4 weeks away, and PHDC members have plenty to get involved with. If you have the time, go down to 101 Market and see what Occupy SF is all about. We are the 99%.

Joni Eisen, President

Potrero Hill Democratic Club

PHDC AT THE FESTIVAL

This Saturday, October 15 - join the fun!

Come see us at the 21st Annual Potrero Hill Festival, a fundraiser for our beloved Neighborhood House. We'll be registering voters, doing club outreach, distributing our endorsements and selling 94107 t-shirts (new ones are here, in black and grey-blue). Festival 11AM - 4:30PM, on 20th St between Wisconsin & Missouri.

OCTOBER MEETING FOLLOWUP
Endorsement publicity, Sharp Park vote

Our endorsements ad is in the Potrero View this month and will repeat in November. The door hangers are being printed. At the last meeting, most precincts were claimed by at least one person. If you missed the meeting, please sign up to walk your precinct (fun with kids and dogs!), for the first and/or second walk. Just reply to this email.

The first precinct walk will be targeting permanent voters-by-mail, beginning this Sunday, Oct. 16th (or as soon as it's convenient for you!). Call 415-648-6740 for more info. The next walk will be the weekend before the election.

More Oct. 4th meeting followup: After visits from the endorsed candidates below, plus Ken Tray of UESF for Yes on A and No on H, the Club revisited the Sharp Park Golf Course issue and voted to endorse Supervisor Avalos's legislation to restore and re-purpose Sharp Park.
