JUNE 7th MEETING: BETTER FOOD starts with
the FARM BILL in CONGRESS...
| | ...and just might lead to your own backyard or windowsill
Get the big picture about the US food system from Food & Water Watch's Adam Scow's presentation, "Sowing the Seeds of a Fair Farm Bill": regulation of the multinational corporations; supporting family farmers; and especially increasing access to healthy food in urban communities. We'll also bring it home, with comments from various neighbors who source food locally and sell it, grow it themselves to eat or give away, or provide other resources for would-be urban farmers. Have YOU ever though about growing at least some of your own food?
WHEN: Tuesday, June 7th, 6:45pm sign in & socialize, 7:00pm startWHERE: Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, 953 De Haro St
