2nd ANNUAL MEMBERS PARTY & "SHOP LOCAL" SILENT AUCTION A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
|
| A huge THANK YOU to our fantastic and generous auction & party donors, local talent all (list at left)
On July 17th, members and guests gathered at the lovely home of Jo Cangelosi to eat, drink, bid and generally enjoy each other's company without having to vote on anything. The food, some donated, some potluck and member-created, was fabulous. Happy party-goers at left: 2nd V.P. Monisha Mustapha and yours truly. Because of the generosity of our donors, and the bidders at the party,
PHDC is able to consider becoming a sponsor of this year's Potrero Hill
Neighborhood Festival. The Festival benefits the Neighborhood House,
the beautiful and accommodating setting for our meetings since this
club began in 2007. As many of you know, the Nabe, in order to continue
their programs in the face of massive budget cuts, has had to lay off
70% of its staff. They are operating with an overworked, underpaid,
extremely dedicated skeleton crew.

UPCOMING IN SEPTEMBER: MORE ENDORSEMENTS
|
| In order to cover everything on the November ballot adequately, we will probably have to have two separate endorsement meetings. One will be the first Tuesday, Sept 7; other date TBD. All endorsement votes will take place in September.
