NEXT MEETING: TUESDAY, JUNE 1st
Jeff Adachi, several votes, candidates...

Jeff AdachiAt our upcoming meeting, Public Defender Jeff Adachi, recently named Public Defender of the Year by the Public Defenders Association, will present his ideas on how to alleviate the city budget shortfall by reforming the pension system.

Our last meeting ran too late to vote on defeating the November water bond, so Adam Scow of Food & Water Watch will be back with a brief review before we vote. Also, a speaker from Voters First Initiative (Prop 11 for redistricting, which PHDC endorsed in the November 2008 election) will seek endorsement of a proposition to expand redistricting to include Congressional districts.

There are various other items of Club business, including a vote to approve sending a letter to the SF Planning Department and the Supervisors regarding the Candlestick/Shipyard Phase II Final Environmental Impact Report. And we'll meet two more candidates for District 10 Supervisor.

See you there!

WHERE:  Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, 953 De Haro St @ Southern Heights
WHEN:  Tuesday, June 1st, at 7:00PM
