UPCOMING DEC. 1st: EAT, DRINK, SAY WHAT YOU THINK
|
|
Please bring an item for the Food Bank as well
We'll have a relaxed, mostly social gathering this time: a potluck, with no particular agenda other than
tossing around ideas for the coming year. What would you like to see PHDC get involved with in 2010? Look at our web site home page and scroll down for a review of past meeting topics. Please
bring any suggestions - and food or drink - to share. PHDC is collecting for the Food Bank again this year! According to the Food Bank's web site, the most-needed donations are: canned tuna, meats, fruit and vegetables; soups, stews, and chili; rice and pasta; peanut butter; cereal. No glass containers please. Thanks everyone - see you at the Nabe. WHERE: Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, 953 De Haro St @ Southern HeightsWHEN: Tuesday, December 1st, at 7PM |
HEALTHCARE ACTIVISM ALERT: CALL SENATORS
|
|
Members of all CA Democratic clubs: "create a loud chorus"
Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club in Oakland
is asking us to call Senators Boxer
and Feinstein, ideally before Thanksgiving, in order to create a loud chorus of
Democratic Party activist voices supporting medicare for all and opposing
limitations on reproductive rights. I think this is a great idea and I hope you
do too. The senators depend on us to support their campaigns - we are the foot
soldiers of the Democratic Party and we matter to them. Can you make two calls
or write two letters? Please click here for a sample script, with contact info, that you can use to make your
calls. Thanks!

LAST MEETING: LIVELY DISCUSSION ABOUT WATER
|
|
Panel of experts sparkle
On November 3rd (election night), some very bright people sparred over water policy and whether or not the bill just passed by the State legislature is something worth supporting. Pictured, seated left to right: Adam Scow, Jennifer Clary, Jessie Raeder, Laura Spanjian, moderator Loretta Lynch. Details about the panelists and what they said, including more photos and audio, are on our web site.

NEW T-SHIRT ORDER HAS ARRIVED
|
|
Including bigger and smaller sizes
You asked for 'em - XL, XXL, and kid sizes too. We'll have them at the December 1st meeting, just in time for you-know-what. Youth t-shirt colors are shown at right, worn by Zahra and Samir Sadrane.
