Greetings!

PHDC hosted two phenomenal events in July - what a team! Please come to our next meeting and see what we're up to now.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 4th Meeting:
PHIL TING: "Close the  Loophole."
First open mic for DISTRICT 10 CANDIDATES

Phil Ting tackles Prop 13Phil Ting

San Francisco Assessor-Recorder Phil Ting says that a key part of why California continues to fall behind is Proposition 13. "Prop. 13 ... creates vast tax loopholes for California's largest corporate property owners, shifts the tax burden to ... individual homeowners and dramatically reduces California's overall revenue for our most vital services." The club has heard other folks on Prop. 13, and now the need for reform is even more urgent. Come hear Mr. Ting's ideas for closing the loophole, and find out what you can do.

Are YOU thinking of running for Supervisor? Great!

Running for local office is the epitome of civic involvement, the increase of which is a primary mission of this club. Over the next year, we will be devoting a portion of some meetings to getting to know our District 10 Supervisor candidates informally. We want to start now.

With the next meeting only a week away, time constraints this month dictate starting with people we know, i.e. club members. We will invite more candidates as we discover them in subsequent months.

If you or anyone you know might run, please email to let us know - and help spread the word. Thanks!

WHEN: Tuesday, August 4th, 7PM
