Online Referral Directory Forms Due Today!

Recently moved? Board certified? New contact info? The Society answers thousands of calls per year from the community at large through our patient referral phone line. It's imperative that we have current and correct information when triaging these calls so we can provide accurate information.

Please return your correction form and/or photo to us for use in the MCMS 2011 On-line Referral Directory. A few items to note:

  • An opt-out option has been included in the correction form; please let us know if you would like your information to be kept for internal purposes and for the telephone referral service only.
  • If MCMS does not have your photo and you wish to include one in your listing, or should you wish to update an existing photo, please submit a digital file (jpeg or tif saved at 300 dpi) by Wednesday, December 1, 2010 to mcms@mcmsonline.com.
  • If the correction form is not received by December 1, 2010, information used in the telephonic referral process will be listed on our Web site.
If you have already submitted your correction form and/or photo, we thank you for your assistance. Should you have any questions regarding the 2011 MCMS Referral Directory, please contact us by calling 602-252-2015 or e-mail mcms@mcmsonline.com

MCMS 2011 Officers and Board Directors
Organizations can only succeed with effective guidance. Physician members of Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) have responded to the call to serve in integral leadership roles since the organization was founded in 1892. Their dedication allows MCMS to keep our mission, vision and values in front of physicians; assist with long range planning for the organization; represent the organization to the public; and much
more.

The staff of MCMS congratulates and sends our best wishes to the 2011 MCMS Board of Directors officers. We thank you for your loyal and continued support of organized medicine. Your participation makes it possible for the Medical Society to maintain a leading role in physician advocacy, and to provide important services to our members and the public.

From the President...

Dr. WhitelyI have inherited an autosomal dominant Christmas gene. That means I love all things to do with Christmas; I embrace the beauty and spirit of this season. When everyone complains, "the stores are already putting up Christmas displays," I try to make sympathetic sounds in response but secretly I'm craning my neck to look. I have eggnog chilled in my fridge right now. I'm hearing the music in my head. Thanksgiving is good eats but just a pit-stop to a season I don't want to end.

Earlier this year I wrote a Top Ten List for why I like being a doctor. Several people ask me - or I wish they would-"Dr. Whitely, whatever do you want for Christmas?" So I am going to let you know my "Top Ten Wishes of Christmas." (Insert your religiously appropriate holiday here.) I hope you take this with the total lack of seriousness with which it is intended.
