The Mochis, Sausalito, Mendocino & Kid Merino:
New Colors Coming Soon!

We have so many great new colors coming in, all of which should be in shops starting in June!

New colors of Mochi Plus We have added more lovely color ways to the Mini Mochi and Mochi Plus palettes for this coming fall. "Ice Strawberry" (321 Mini Mochi/621 Mochi Plus) is a pale pink combination with a silver-lilac cast. "Copper-Turquoise" (323 Mini Mochi/623 Mochi Plus) offers shades of emerald and turquoise with terra-cotta accents. Lastly is the show-stopping color of the season, very appropriately named "Drama" (324 Mini Mochi/624 Mochi Plus), with deep shades of blackish-eggplant, purples and slate.

Mini Mochi Eyelet Ease Scarf These new colors should be available by mid-June. They are already up on our Web site.  See the new Eyelet Ease Scarf pattern in Mini Mochi "Ice Strawberry" and the Long,Textured Scarf pattern in Mochi Plus "Drama" for project ideas

Chunky Mochi in 838 Chunky Mochi continues to be a delectable choice for yarn lovers.  We have four new colors for fall, pulled from some of the popular colors of Mini Mochi:  837 "Storm Clouds", 838 "Rainbow Trout", 841 "Negril Sunset" and 843 "Ice Wine".  These shades are dreamy, gorgeous and perfect for your pre-fall knitting and crocheting.  Look for them in your local or online shops starting next month!

Sausalito in 8451 We have added six new colors to the lovely Sausalito.  Each of these new color ways is two ply, where one ply is solid and one is slow-striping.  Everyone in our office oohed and aahed over these beauties when we first received samples.  Check out the Sausalito Shawlette below in the new "Big Sur" color way for a beautiful shoulder wrap.  These colors should be available in shops by late June.

There are four new scrumptious shades of Mendocino on their way as well.  Mendocino is a heavy worsted weight sister to Sausalito.  I adore the way this yarn works up with ease.  It is a dynamite choice for a variety of accessories and gifts.  Start your holiday stitching early with these beautiful shades!  These colors should be available starting mid-June.

Kid Merino Fall 2012 colors Last but not least is the ethereal, superfine Kid Merino.  We have added five solids and two prints for a total of seven new shades.  Kid Merino is great for knitting or crochet, worked by itself, doubled or as an add-along with another yarn.  (It looks fantastic with Little Flowers, as in the easy and elegant Kid Merino & Little Flowers Knit Cowl.)  Crocheters, be on the lookout for the Kid Merino "Lilac Mist Sweater" in the upcoming Autumn 2012 issue of Crochet! Magazine, due out later this summer.

New FREE Patterns:
Sausalito & Cuddles!

Sausalito Short & Sweet Sock We have new patterns up on our Web site!  We have added the Short & Sweet Socks pattern, knitted in Sausalito.  Sausalito is a great choice for socks; the gradual color changes are exciting while the 2-ply construction and 80% merino wool/20% nylon content offer strength and comfort.  These cuties are great for a sneaker or Mary Jane, with a flirty ruffled accent at the top of the cuff for added fun.  I love this pattern, not only because the socks look great but also because the socks are short and therefore knit up quickly!

Sausalito Shawlette Our Mini Mochi 2-ball Shawlette has been so popular that we decided to work it up in one of the new fall colors of Sausalito.  The Sausalito Shawlette shawl features eyelets and center decreasing to form the triangle.  The beautiful peaked lace border is worked last from the bottom edge.  The soft color changing eliminates the need for manual striping.  This is a good project for learning mitered decreasing and eyelet decoration, and it looks fabulous, too.   See the Sausalito patterns page for more great project ideas!

Crocheted Heart Pillow The Crocheted Heart Pillow is our latest project in support of the Stitch Red campaign.  This pillow, crocheted in Merino 5, uses a variation of the Granny Square motif.  The pillow form is sewn out of cotton fabric and stuffed with fabric stuffing.  It measures roughly 11 " x 12" and makes a great home accent.  This project features our Stitch Red color, Merino 5 in color #1012 "Crimson".   Read more about Stitch Red in the Indie News and blog articles below.

Cuddles Braided Earflap Hat The Cuddles Braided Earflap Hat and Braided Mittens might seem a little out of place as we approach summer, but they are bound to be hits this fall.  Cuddles is so fun and easy to work, even the cables will be delightful to knit.  The set features left-crossing cables with braided cables as the focal point.  The braided cables on the hat turn into braided I-cords for the ties and top decoration.  These are super cozy and will make great accessories for you or for holiday gifts.  Visit our free pattern library for more Cuddles patterns
