Youth Group Summer Kick-Off

It's official.  The countdown to summer has begun.  School will be out before we know it and we are already looking forward to summertime activities.  There will be many opportunities for the youth to be involved at SLPC this summer.  We will still have regular youth group every Sunday night.  We'll be working hard (and having fun) at our youth work parties.  You'll see us volunteering at Vacation Bible School and the Rummage Sale.  And, don't forget the mission trip.  There are sure to be other fun things planned, so keep watching for updates.

The other extra exciting thing about summer approaching is we will be welcoming new kids to youth group!  We would like to officially invite all youth that have finished fifth grade this year to the Cornerstone Youth Group and all youth that have finished eighth grade to the Core Youth Group.  Please plan on joining us at youth group on Sunday, June 26 at 5pm for our Summer Kick-Off.   See you there!

DimeStewardship Update

For the month of April, total income of $40,508 ran less than the budget of $46,767 by $6,259.  Ordinary expenses of $41,854 were also less than the budget of $49,744 by $7,890.  The Net Loss for the month was $1,346.  Year-to-date, total actual Income of $179,419 was less than the budget of $191,544 by $12,125.  Total actual expenses of $192,934 were also less than the budgeted expenses of $210,172 by $17,238, leaving us with a net loss of $13,515 for the year.

Summer is coming with many trips and vacations, so if you are planning to be away, please consider leaving your weekly offering envelopes in the church office or I would be happy to put them into the offering plate for you during Sunday morning worship.  It would really help us with the ongoing ministry of the church.

Thank you all for your dedication to the mission of Steel Lake Presbyterian Church.
