MUSIC SUNDAY

This coming Sunday is Music Sunday. Steel Lake's music ministry will "pull out all the stops" to celebrate the end of our choirs' music season before the summer break. This year's music Sunday will feature the Chancel and Chamber choirs, Jubilee Ringers, Psalters, Peggy on the organ, lots of congregational singing, and a brass ensemble as well. It will be quite a musical morning. See you at 10am on Sunday!

Deacons HandsDeacon's Corner

We want all Steel Lake Members and Friends to know who their Deacon is.  To help us make sure you are connected, if you haven't been contacted in some way by a Deacon (card, phone, e-mail, in person, or visit), please let Jim Carl (Deacon Moderator) know at 253-927-4275 or jcarl815@gmail.com. The Deacons want to involve everyone in the life of the church in addition to praying and caring for you.  If you have a special need or concern, please feel free to contact your Deacon.

Although there wasn't a usual "Meet Your Deacon Sunday" this spring, watch for a possible Sunday Event in July and/or a special parish event with your Deacon and Pastor Brent.  A parish consists of members and friends that have the same Deacon.

I'm happy to be a new Deacon and know that all the Steel Lake Deacons are committed to helping you grow in your relationship with Christ.  To God be the Glory!

A THANK YOU FROM HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

As we look ahead to a new year, we give thanks for your support to families in need. Your gift of $6,000 in support of our Apostle Build in Federal Way will help Habitat for Humanity Seattle/South King County break the cycle of poverty in the lives of our partner families.

This is what one homeowner told us: "Now that I have a permanent place to raise my children, I can give them a feeling of security so they can focus on their school work instead of the next place (we have) to move to."Habitat for Humanity Logo

With your contribution we are able to continue creating affordable housing opportunities. Your gift not only changes the lives of partner families, it strengthens our entire community.....

In deep gratitude,
