Hughes Water Gardens
New Products
Moss Milkshake
Moss.... A natural for any shady area including waterfeatures.
Easy to use
Just add a few cups of water to a bucket, stir in contents of carton and let stand for ten minutes.
Now find a shady area and spread this gel-like past over any firm surface such as bare soil, stone, wood, or weathered concrete. Each small moss fragment can grow into a new moss plant, which then grows together over time. Alternatively, simply sprinkle the dry moss ingredients directly onto a bare soil surface and then water.
Moss is ideal for:
* Rock/Water Gardens
* Patios and Walkways
* Naturalized areas
* Japanese Gardens
Hughes also carries live moss plants in a bag. You just add water.

Tinkerbelle's
Pond Tips for Early Spring
Below are some tips for February & March to help make your pond season easy.
* Remove any debris that has collected in the pond over the winter with a net or add Microbe-Lift's product Sludge Away.
* Remove string algae growing on the rocks, side walls & waterfall areas. GreenClean granular algaecide can help with this.
* Clean out and start up pumps.
* Set up bio-filters. Rinse out filter pads/bio media and add a live bacterial culture to restart biological activity.
* Gradually begin feeding your fish when the daytime water temperatures stay at 50 degrees and fish are actively searching for food. Use a spring/fall fishfood formula only at first.
* Turn on UV light. Replace bulb (Yearly).
* Trim plant foliage in and around the pond.
* Divide, repot and fertilize plants as needed.
* Begin feeding plants with aquatic fertilizer once new growth appears.
