Have we lost touch with her?

In our world, with all our technological advancements, scientific discoveries, pharmaceutical miracles and modern changes, we are losing touch with the sacred feminine that resides within every woman. I ask you to remember....

Before we became civilized, our tribes respected the sacred mystery of the female. Her ability to create life, the monthly menstruation process which allowed for a renewal each month added to the depth of her wisdom and uniqueness. We were magnificent...like a vessel that held great magic and complexity. We honored ourselves and accepted all of who we were. We believed in our power and celebrated it. And most of all...we TRUSTED ourselves. We listened to our intuition and the natural cycles, messages and nuances of our bodies. We held vigil with one another and allowed our sisters (our clan) to caresses our anxieties, fears and inhibitions. We had a bond that was impermeable. One that was safe and supportive like the womb itself...filled with women eager to listen and even sit in the silence of fear and pain in order to bring about transformation and healing. This woman still exists...do you remember her?

As a species, we are proud of our evolutionary progress and continue to admire our intellectualized capacities. However...I urge you to not be so proud that you forget the part of yourself that grounds you to your highest calling, that connects you to mother earth and the cosmos, that recognizes the messages your body and spirit are sending and honor them.
