JOY !
Joy is unadulterated bliss! It is when you are connecting with love, happiness, excitement and tenderness, all at the same time. Sometimes joy will sneak up on you quietly, out of the blue...you may feel it bubbling up as if it's waking you up from the inside out. When you are in this state, you are most at home with who you truly are...the stress and rough spots seem to melt away.
Joy can come in small packages...almost like little surprises. In order to create more joy in your life, you must begin to expect it and welcome it into your everyday routine. Many of us miss joyful moments because we are holding out for the bigger than life emotions and feelings that are easy to recognize and embrace. We wait for it to appear, hoping that the next moment will be just the right one. This sets us up for missing the little bits of joy that are all around us on a daily basis.
Another way to embrace more joy is to practice living more in your experiences. This means staying present or in the "here and now"of your life. Becoming more aware of how you are feeling, how other people are feeling and all that is happening in your environment that may be affecting your experiences. As you do this, you are simultaneously opening yourself up for witnessing other joyful moments that you may have missed in the past.
It is your birthright to be a joyful person...expect it and look for it!
