What does it mean to be tender?
Being tender has to do with enhancing your soft spots. Opening up to your vulnerability and innocence. Allowing yourself the opportunity to touch this wellspring of beauty and depth can encourage spiritual growth, as well as, prosperity within your relationships. So often we have untapped potential with regard to our tenderness. Many of us have been conditioned to not show these fragile pieces of ourselves to the world or as some call it, weaknesses.
Tenderness is the opposite of weakness, it is strength. For those that have practiced using tenderness, they have witnessed its quiet stamina and healing power. In order to use tenderness in this way, it requires us to listen and observe with a heightened sense. One must be "in the moment," fully. The key is to know when the person you are engaged with is open to this connection. In other words, being able to see when the individual needs you to soften. When you recognize the benefit of creating peace within another... simply by drawing from your own tenderness... this is a beautiful gift.
How do we do this? Practice recognizing your own soft spots when they awaken. We all have them...some are more hidden than others, but all of us have these tender openings. Try not to navigate away from these moments, but embrace them and be amazed by their mystery and grace. Then, practice using your tenderness on others. Watch the pain, anger, grief and anxiety melt away as you use this vulnerable part of yourself to build more loving connections with others.
Encourage tenderness...pass this on |

Inspiring Reading Meet Editor and Writer, Mary L. Holden | |

It was the Great Spirit of the Universe who determined that I meet and get a reading by Julianna. One day in the spring of 2010 while driving home from my part-time job, I followed a blue SUV with the words 'Julianna Lyddon Intuitive Therapy' on the back window. For three miles I contemplated the meaning of 'intuitive therapy,' and I tried to memorize the phone number. But by the time I got home I'd forgotten the number and her last name. So put it out of my mind and made something for lunch. My phone rang. It was a friend I'd not seen in at least a year who was calling to ask for advice. I couldn't help her, but I was concerned so I asked, "Who can help you with this question? Have you talked about it with anyone else?" She said, "Julianna Lyddon." So...after I picked the phone up off the floor I said, "I cannot believe you said that name. I'm sure I just followed her car!" My friend said that it was imperative that I meet Julianna and she gave me the phone number. My reading with Julianna was life changing. At the time, I was studying the work of a particular author from the 19th century with a zeal I had not experienced since college. Several points in the reading touched on the importance to my life of this self-study, which dealt with psychological themes. There is no way Julianna could have known about this passion or the knowledge that I was gaining. She affirmed that I was on the right track with the wisdom and insight that was coming my way through these old writings. And that was just one important insight she gave to me. Since then, my new career as a freelance editor has grown into a full-time business. I love the work I do---helping others look their best in print---and it was the wisdom and spirit of Julianna's reading for me that helped me get to this truth. How does one thank the Great Spirit of the Universe? The answer is to gain as much self-knowledge and self-love as possible and then to live in a constant state of appreciation! Thanks to Julianna, I can now accomplish such thanks on a daily basis.
Mary is the editor of my book that will be out later this month. She is one of the most beautiful women I know. She is a gift to the editing community because of her love and talent for shaping words.

Paint with Lu
and create soulful masterpieces
Lu Bellamak is a master painter, art instructor and one of Scottsdale's best known artists. For 30 years she has taught students using her unique and very successful "Creative Process". This Process allows students to excel from the beginning stages of color and technique to the creation of original works of art. Lu explains, "First, I had to discover how to paint the feelings and emotions from deep in my soul. It comes from my spirit. Once I discovered this, I had to share it with as many people as possible". Her biggest successes come when students break through personal obstacles, shed their inhibitions and begin to paint from a place they haven't explored, their inner spirit. Lu calls her work "The Expressive Arts".
Lu teaches at her "Paint With Lu"
studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also organizes painting vacations each year to California and Italy.
