Guilt can be thick with many threads of emotions. It is insidious when it weaves its way throughout our lives and permeates our psyche. It is the one emotion that has been overused and abused within our society. Religions have taken advantage of it, parents use it to control, governments and justice systems have bargained it to death. How do we unravel ourselves from its wrath?
One way to do this is to look at its importance. Guilt can be productive in small doses. Often, we overdose on it and therefore don't always see its benefits.
Guilt can be a great motivator, a wonderful reminder of when we have lost our way, that dull feeling that sits heavy within us when we know we have committed a negative act. It is part of our conscious, our higher self, the part that urges us to be the best we can be.
However, if guilt is used as a form of control and is conditioned into an individual's body/mind system, it loses its subtle, positive influence. It takes on a life of its own and can become a monster...eating away at us, feeding our anger and self loathing. When we are absorbed with guilt, we are furthest from our purpose and personal power.
Take the time to assess your level of guilt. Is it in check... at a healthy balance where it enhances your personal productivity? If not, see if you can tell where it came from and how it originated...looking for the roots that might be related to any form of control. Through this exploration, you can begin to unravel the negative aspects of your guilt.

About a year and a half ago, a friend asked Julianna to do an intuitive energy reading for me. At the time of the reading, she was unaware that I have been incarcerated in a state prison for more than 15 years. I understand most of Julianna's clients meet with her following the reading for a consultation. Because I am in prison several states away, the insights she gathered from my reading were delivered to me in a letter. Even without the benefit of a consultation with Julianna, the pages I received were rich with information, messages, advice, and suggestions that resonated deep within me.
Probably the most profound revelation was an understanding of the two types of energy residing within me: a gentle, loving energy and a strong, dominant energy. Julianna suggested I reach inside myself and connect in a more authentic way to the loving side of myself. I now understanding that caring and being able (or should I say willing) to love are strengths of my character, not weaknesses. This knowledge of self has enabled me to more clearly see who I am and who I have the potential to become. I pay close attention to my "heartspeak"--the inner voice that guides me. These are not mere thoughts that my brain thinks, but more like messages that I feel. Taking an honest look at myself opened me up to make the most of the gifts and talents God has blessed me with.

I still have two types of energy in me, that may never change. It is who I am. But it is now more balanced. Instead of the love energy only supporting the strong dominant energy, I have equaled out the scales so the dominant energy supports the love energy also. When you live with the power of love, it affects everyone and everything around you..As I pay it forward, there are men in this prison who directly and indirectly benefit from the insights that Julianna has shared with me. Love has broken through the rock and iron walls and passed through razor wire and the chain link fences. It was time for recognition and understanding to be borne into this place of fear and despair!
