Healing
How do you heal?

In our country, the concept of healing is not nearly as important as the concept of curing. We live in a nation where the cure is our fixation. We are in such a hurry to solve our problems, illnesses and dysfunction that we miss the most vital step in the process....healing. When we miss this step, it can be compared to putting a band aid on a wound that is deep and in need of more attention. The process of healing works from the inside out. Healing requires more than a temporary fix. Many of our illnesses and psychological problems have deep roots. These roots are like symptoms that have been growing for a long time and need conscious attention in order to heal thoroughly. Of course we can find a cure for certain illnesses or neurosis, but until we look beneath the surface at all the pieces that contributed to the problem, the cycle is open to repeat itself and the cure is only temporary.

How can we begin to truly heal ourselves? We must be open to seeing the truth. The truth of who we are...this includes the good and the bad. We must have a willingness to look at the roots of the problem at hand. Healing is a journey that restores the individual in a comprehensive way...touching all aspects of the human experience. It doesn't happen overnight and without conscious intent. Next time you hit a road block in some way, stop and pay attention to what brought you there. Connect the dots from the past to the present. The road map will appear and then it is up to you to do the work toward healing.

 Encourage healing....pass this on

Inspiring Reading

Crystal shares how her Intuitive Reading impacted her life......
Crystal Altenbach

My name is Crystal and I met Julianna when my friend invited me to one of her classes on meditation.  I am a mom of five children from 22 years to 4 years and I could really use some skills in meditation.  My friend also told me that she does spiritual readings and this was my true interest.  I went to the meditation class for both reasons, for meditation skills and to see if Julianna was a real spiritual person, or if she was some strange force of nature.  Now, I have dabbled in the area of psychics, but never in a spiritual focus.  What Julianna does is far beyond anything else that I have experienced.  She spent almost two and a half hours with me during the spiritual reading and that doesn't count the time she spent tuning in to get the information. I am someone who is on a path of self-discovery and the more information I can get, the more I am interested.  I have always thought of myself as a spiritual person, but Julianna gave me concrete information that helped me to understand my current path much clearer and confirmed things I was feeling.  There were questions that were asked of me as well, which was amazing and thought-provoking.  The most amazing part is how it opens your mind to look at yourself on a level of much greater understanding.  It has help me to fine-tune some skills I already had and to seek some skills that were available to me that I didn't know I had access to.  The decision to get the reading was one of the best ones I have ever made in my quest of self-discovery.  It has also helped me with how I parent and as a wife and friend.  The things I learned I am constantly aware of and will continue to read and re-read my spiritual information that Julianna gave me and when I have worn out the pages, I will be going again to get my next helping.  I believe the answers to your questions lie within you and this process allows you to find your answers.  So no matter where you are in your evolutionary process, there is something in this for you.

 Thank you, Crystal

HEALING COLUMN

This month, Dr. Julia Eastman explains the benefits of Homeopathic Medicine

Julia A. Eastman is a Board Certified Classical Homeopathic Physician and a nationally Board certified Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a Licensed Acupuncturist in Arizona.

Dr. Eastman, how would you compare the practice of Homeopathic Medicine with conventional (Western) Medicine?

Classical Homeopathy is a medical specialty which uses micro-doses of natural substances, prescribed for each individual patient, to stimulate the body's healing response to bring about a cure. Conventional medicine is quite often about eliminating symptoms or giving medicines in macro-doses created in a laboratory to treat a specific ailment or disease. Classical Homeopathy believes that all parts of the body are interdependent. We do not attempt to separate mental, emotional or physical illness; all express the imbalances in the body. Homeopathic treatment is based on the UNIQUENESS of the individual patient, not their condition or disease. Homeopaths treat people, not diseases.

From a homeopathic perspective, the chronic use of conventional drugs has a suppressive or palliative (reducing the symptoms rather than striving to halt, delay or reverse disease progression or provide a cure ) rather than a curative action. Homeopathy strives for cure through treating the cause of disease and supporting the body to find its' own balance.

Homeopathic medical care strives to treat the total patient- body, mind, spirit with the best match in nature, which matches the essence/true nature of the patient.  One remedy, for all symptoms vs. multiple drugs/therapies/interventions for each patient.

The first step to loving oneself is identifying one's life message and magnificence and getting beyond the "form" of one's life-job title, age, sex, or wealth. Step two is cherishing one's magnificence by giving oneself solitude, not comparing oneself to others, and surrounding oneself with people who provide honor and empowerment. Step three is the defeating of any challenges to magnificence by living from the soul, dropping guilt, and living without the constraints of physical age. Step four involves learning to live in the heart of one's magnificence by being thankful for the enormous good in their lives, loving others generously, and expressing joy.
