Love can be complicated, messy, painful and even scary, but we all spend a lifetime searching for it. We continue this quest because once we have felt the true magic of love, we never forget its depth and beauty. We are continually amazed at its splendor and grace. We are touched by its power and moved by its sensations. We are surprised by the way it transforms us by lifting our spirit to a higher vibration. Love is the one emotion that inspires us to have faith and hope when all else fails. It creates light in our darkest hour, it provides us with strength when we feel we have nothing left to give. Love truly is the connective fiber that weaves us all together and encourages us to embrace tomorrow.
When we surrender to love we experience a freedom that is like no other. Most of us feel our body change as love floods in. It can be euphoric to many, weak and clammy for others, while some can't quite catch their breath in its presence. It is unique to each individual, but the intensity of its frequency is universally felt by all.
Loves invisible connection is beautifully depicted in the movie, Avatar. The horses make their connection with their rider through fusing the hair of the rider with an appendage of the horse. Energetically, it's as if the DNA of each species becomes entangled and instantly they become one in mind, body and spirit. This simulates our connection when we fall deeply in love. When it feels right, all is in unison and we feel as if we are one with our partner. This speaks to the energetic power of love.
For those of you that have been badly bruised in a loving relationship, don't be too quick to close your heart and turn off your loving flow. You can heal yourself through turning your capacity to love inward. Shine some of its beauty back on you, nurture the parts that need healing. Spending conscious moments recognizing the damage and opening up to the learning that can take place from your experience, will continue to keep the love alive.
So next time you have the opportunity to open your heart to love...take the leap and embrace its fullness. Love heals....not only ourselves, but our world!

David Schnarch, a sex therapist praised by Pepper Schwartz, uses epiphany-laden conversations taken directly from his own marriage and the married couples he sees in practice to help readers defy the myth that marriages are necessarily passionless, and instead prove that the longer a couple has been together, the higher the fireworks can fly. On Sunday, February 28th I will be conducting a new workshop.
Mind/Body/Spirit Integration Workshop
This workshop is two hours in length and it teaches the meaning and importance of mind/body/spirit integration.Topics covered include: techniques for deciphering mind/body/spirit messages; awareness; emotional intelligence; processing emotions; and connecting with the spirit. Exercises are incorporated throughout the workshop.

Creating a Family Balance at Home
Are you having trouble connecting with your adolescent? Do you feel as though you are losing control? Is your child's behavior and attitude getting worse?
This year I will be making house calls to offer counseling for families who are having issues with their teenagers. Quite often, as parents, we get so busy with all we have to accomplish that we don't always see the clearest channel for balance within our family. Things can get overwhelming very quickly and sometimes we simply need additional support. I will come to your home and meet privately with you and then meet with your child. I will follow up with an appointment for the entire family to help create a family balance.
Cost:
