Dear Neighbor,
Many things make our community such a wonderful place in which to live, including its unique setting and the care given to preserving and enhancing everyone's enjoyment of shared property. The Giants Neck Beach Association Beautification Committee plays a major role in this effort by accomplishing its mission "to make the Giants Neck Beach Association grounds more attractive for the benefit of all association members." Over the years, several projects have been undertaken by the volunteer members of this Committee, some of which include: - Establishing and maintaining the Memorial Garden at the corner of Giants Neck Road and Lake Shore Drive, including a connection to the water system for watering of the plantings
- Providing benches at various locations around the Giants Neck Beach community for walkers to rest and enjoy the view
- Maintaining plantings around the Helen Lena Clubhouse
- Planting the flower boxes on the pump house on Point Road
- Construction of the stone wall around the sign at the entrance to Giants Neck, together with planting of shrubs and flowers

Memorial Fund
Funding for many of the Beautification Committee's efforts have been accomplished through monetary donations made by generous Giants Neck residents. Contributions are welcomed at any time and can be designated: 1) for the over-all benefit of the GNBA grounds, or 2) specifically for the Memorial Garden in memory of a deceased family member or friend. All donations are acknowledged to the donor and recorded in a Beautification Donation Book. |
In Memoriam
For "in memory of" donations, a note of acknowledgement for each gift, with the name of the donor, is also sent to the family of the deceased. In addition, the names of all persons to be remembered through a Memorial Garden donation are entered on an engraved plaque in the Helen Lena Club House. |
