Club Meeting April 11
Special Guest: Andy Lamb
April 6, 2012
503-304-5383

 Greetings!

WU Discover Scuba

As Garrison Keillor might say, "It's been a busy first quarter at HydroSports, my home away from home".

We gratefully say "It's all because of you!"

If you thought HydroSports was busy last year you're right. We issued 144 Open Water certifications, almost 90 continuing education credentials and lead more than 130 Discover Scuba Diving experiences. Over 30 PADI Professional credentials were earned by staff members as well.

Between HydroSports and Albany Scuba we're on track to blow these numbers out of the pond in 2012. In the first quarter of 2012 we've issued 40 Open Water certifications, 25 continuing education credentials and lead almost 70 Discover Scuba Diving experiences. We've also exceeded last year's First Aid certifications in the first quarter alone.

Our staff has led fun dives at Newport, Hoodsport, Clear Lake, Woahink Lake, Sand Lake, Edmonds, Washington and Catalina, California. Who's meeting Jim at 11 AM Saturday morning at the Newport south jetty?

What have we done this year to enhance the services we provide?

Jeff Trembly has earned his PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. Ken Rymal has earned his TDI Tech Instructor and Rebreather Instructor ratings and is in the process of earning his PADI Tech and Recreational Rebreather Instructor ratings. New product lines like GoPro Cameras have been added.

What does this mean to you, our friends and fellow divers? This means that when you choose to bring your friends and family members to HydroSports for scuba lessons, equipment purchases, gas fills, equipment maintenance or travel experiences they will be served by highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic members of the HydroSports team.

So keep up the good work. Share your passion with friends and family. Push us to offer the courses, services, products and support you crave. Check Groupon April 8 to 10 for special deals from HydroSports.

Our mission is to help each of you reach your diving and snorkeling goals and dreams. Come on down for a visit.

We look forward to blowing bubbles with you soon!

Sincerely,

Clear Lake Full Moon Dive and Camp

Every year HydroSports hosts a Clear Lake moonlight dive. Join us August 31 through September 2 for a family dive and camp weekend.

Clear Lake, on Highway 126 between Eugene and Sisters, Oregon, boasts over 300 feet of horizontal visibility. Fed by the Cascade Aquifer, Clear Lake's 38 degree water has preserved many stands of trees for over 1000 years. Volcanic domes and vents rise and fall throughout the lake's surface.

Clear Lake has over 300 feet of horizontal visibility on a good day!Diving Clear Lake under a full moon is one of the most surreal experiences one can have. The giant light of the full moon casts a diver's shadow on the lake bottom.

Join us for fun dives as well as Altitude and Diver Propulsion Specialty certification dives this weekend. Reserve your cabin or campsite early.
