Dive Big Cliff Sunday Afternoon
DUI Demo DaysThe drift dive down the Big Cliff Channel is one of the few fresh water drift dives in North America and it's in our own back yard.

Join me for a two tank dive this coming Sunday, July 5, at 1 PM. We'll explore the downstream end of the channel entering at the boat ramp, then start our second dive just below the Detroit Dam outfall. The second dive, hopefully, will be a 30 minute effortless drift to the boat ramp.

The shop will be open Sunday from 11 AM to noon to pick up rental gear.

The best pizza in the state is served at Giovanni's Pizza in Mill City. Plan to share a large Sicilian pizza with me on the way home.

Masks + Regulators + Rinse Tanks = Infections?

Tropical Rinse Tank
After 14 divers sharing a Fiji rinse tank came down with conjunctivitis, Dr. Michael Miller of West Virginia University's Biochemistry Department collected and analyzed the water in a rinse tank at a popular Bonaire resort during a week dive trip.

You'll be surprised at his findings and may never use a rinse tank again. His study was reported in the June issue of Undercurrent.
