Now,
the other part of this weekend is how this natural process, which
helped you become part of the human realm in the first place, relates
to receptivity in yourself to healing. The process has become distorted
away from the natural process, where so many complicated practices and
complicated religions some people can't cook pork and other people must
cook pork or they can't become enlightened! Another person can't have
milk and another person must have milk or they can't become
enlightened. So many complicated issues have arisen due to respect for
enlightenment or the natural process, that we no longer look at the
natural process but in fact, we look at all of the ceremonies
surrounding the natural process.
Like
that, the natural process has been subverted in many ways. Harm has
been forced upon spiritual people in order to be alive to other kinds
of ideas, such as power, money, status. These have become the important
things.
That
natural process built into you a certain kind of openness to being
healed. Doesn't that make sense? If you're supposed to be on an
evolutionary journey, why would the greatness of the process try to
make it hard for you? The greatness of the process tries to make it
easy for you. That means that somewhere built in you, no matter how
much you may have tried to hide it, there is an openness to being
healed. It's part of your genetic makeup.
Don't
let the bugaboo king come and snap your door closed by telling you this
is not powerful enough or this is not high status or it's not enough
money or this one said this or that. Or I'm not getting respect or I
can't trust, so therefore I can't be open because I can't trust this
one or that one. Or I couldn't trust that one 30 years ago, so how
could I possibly be open to healing now? Don't listen to the bugaboos.
Be open. You have already in you an openness to be healed yourself.

The
dynamic which has been developed over a very long time, and become
quite sophisticated and quite self-replicating is your ability to blame
others. Now I am going to look at the ceiling because I don't think
that anyone here indulges in blaming others for their problems
(laughter). The nature of self-cherishing has caused you to develop
strategies of blaming others for all of your problems and all of your
potential problems. If one does not blame others, one has a more
spiritual approach to blaming others, which is blaming unseen forces
(laughter). It is only another version of blaming others, although it
seems much more high level (more laughter). It's not me. It's demons.
It's not me. God is angry at me. It's not me. It's black energies. Yes,
I can see them everywhere. Like that. (laughter continues) It's not me.
No. I'm not the cause of (my own unhappiness). To become a spiritual
adept at blaming others is no different from being the most ordinary of
beings. And you have the additional interesting aspect of feeling
spiritually successful; feeling important; feeling that, Others don't
know these things. Only I know these things.
There are many, many dynamics that are all under the heading of blaming others.
The actual enemy is hiding in your own mind under an umbrella that
reads on the outside, I am your best buddy. I am your friend. And this
is your own self-cherishing. We need to shift our attention from trying
to fix others so that they can't hurt us, so then we can't blame them
anymore, which is the military approach to fixing your own life
(laughter), to one of recreating yourself so that you stop this harmful
behavior. Self-cherishing hides as your friend.
If
you are suffering, it's because you are self-cherishing. You don't
blame yourself. You blame the self-cherishing. If you and
self-cherishing cannot be separated, you could never become
enlightened. You could never become transformed. However, we know that
myriad beings have become transformed and have become separated from
their self-cherishing, and this is the message that you need to learn!
