An Evening with Clark Howard |
Join us on the eve of National Brain Tumor Awareness Month as we gather for An Evening with Clark Howard...to help children with brain tumors on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the home of Clark and Lane Howard.
Proceeds will benefit the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children's Butterfly Fund, providing emergency financial assistance for families whose children are in the midst of treatment. With a special presentation of BTFC's Visionary Award to Walter J. Curran MD, Executive Director of the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, for his work as a "Champion of the Cause" including his leadership in bringing a proton beam center to Georgia.

Ana's Story |

Last week, Ana Hardt's front yard was transformed into her own personal petting zoo, complete with a baby calf, goats, llamas, roosters, and puppies. Watch the entire heartwarming story on 11Alive. Special thanks to Cagle's Family Farm & Barnyard Friends of Canton, GA and Clayton Brannon Photography for all their help in making Ana's day so special. |
Tumor Troopers in Action |
Volunteers at BTFC are always putting together care packages to send to new families and those who need a little extra loving. Thanks to the recent generosity of the following individuals, BTFC is able to send out lots of special care packages:
Courtney Garrett, sister of brain tumor survivor Alex, and the 2011 Trinity Christian High School Homecoming Court.

Chris & Heather Beaucher and friends through their annual toy drive in memory of their sweet daughter Kristin.

Shirley and Wayne Langford through Sophia's Hope Toy Drive in memory of their daughter Sophia. |
A Night of Wine & Roses |
A great time was had by all at the first annual A Night of Wine & Roses Gala presented by Carley's Rays of Hope in Aiken, SC. A million thanks to the entire A Night of Wine & Roses Committee and Scott & Vindi McMaster for their dedication and hard work for Carley's Rays of Hope. Visit the Carley's Rays of Hope website to learn more.

| Established in 1983 in Atlanta, GA, the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children was the first non-profit organization in the United States to focus on pediatric brain tumor disease. The Foundation's mission is: "To provide financial assistance, social support, and information for families of children with brain and spinal cord tumors; fund research projects that improve treatment options and search for a cure; and raise public awareness of the disease and advocate on behalf of children who are affected." BTFC serves children and families throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Our south Florida chapter, Christina's Kidz, is dedicated to helping Florida families. |
