Community Shares (and our My Colorado Project ) raises money for animal shelters in Colorado. Every day there are thousands of animals waiting for a home. If you've got a rescue animal, you know how quickly that animal no one else wanted becomes a one in a million member of your family.

My Colorado Project, a program of Community Shares, puts up a new contest each month to help us connect the "everyday" things we love to the charitable organizations in our community.

The August My Colorado Contest challenges you to post a picture of the animal companion in your life. Tell us about them/why you love them and win $500 for your favorite cause or giving circle!

Denver Burger Battle to Benefit Community Shares!

Join Community Shares at the 2011 Burger Battle held at Union Station in downtown Denver!

When: August 10, 5:30 - 9:30pm

Community Shares was selected as the 2011 charity partner and the proceeds from sponsorship will be donated to our community giving fund!

Come and taste-test the burgers from twelve of the city's best!
