Dear friends,

As we enter our 25th year of inspiring giving in Colorado, it is astounding to see Community Shares continue to gain momentum year after year!  In 2010 Community Shares passed an awe-inspiring milestone.  Since 1986, with an average gift of less than $1 a day, our giving community has donated more than $20 million to the charities and causes they care about most.  One dollar at a time, one donor at a time, we've changed the face of philanthropy in Colorado.

Community Shares was founded on both a belief and a business model that together we are greater than the sum of our individual parts.  At no other time has that proven truer than in 2010.  Economic challenges encouraged us to imagine new ways to succeed in achieving our mission.  Thanks to the sound guidance of our board of directors and the input of stakeholders, in 2010 we increased our capacity to invest in Colorado and Coloradans.  We have never been better positioned to increase our reach and fund our dynamic family of nonprofit members.

This year Community Shares is celebrating 25 years as Colorado's vital and vibrant community giving fund.  It is an exciting time to look back and look ahead.  We are so proud you've chosen us as your partner in philanthropy and look forward to a year of heartfelt thanks for all we've accomplished together.

@25Sincere thanks and regards,
