Greetings!
Our main goals for 2009 are to bring more awareness of San Diego BIG to everyone in San Diego and beyond, sending out our message that we are here to support community and city efforts to maintain and beautify the beach area. At this stage, we have 3 main events and we are looking forward to growing these events and finding a project or two for the year to focus on.

If you have a passion for the beach and want to make sure it's well taken care of then join our team. I'm looking for people who can hand out promotional brochures and our meeting postcards and one or two people from each of the following areas that can act as a liaison and keep us informed about beach projects in the area: Carlsbad, Encinitas, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Del Mar, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, Coronado and the Silver Strand.

 Summer Social Fundraiser
with a King & Queen of the Beach Volleyball Fun
The first of our 3 events this year will start at Mariner's Point with a friendly King & Queen of the Beach volleyball round robin with 3 levels of play. We've booked Mariner's Point for this exciting day in July and all proceed will go towards community approved beach projects. This event will include a day of great volleyball, a BBQ lunch, great silent auction items and an after party. We'll keep you posted and let you know when registration opens with all the details. Come to our next two meetings to get in on the decisions and volunteer for making it rock & roll.
Our famous San Diego SIX-Man BeachFest will be Oct 3 (details coming April 1st). See a recap of 2008 at our new web site www.SanDiegoSixMan.com. And, the 23rd Annual Polar Beach Classic Draw Tournament will be in December (50% of the proceeds go to Starlings Volleyball Club).
