| | the white swan, archival print |
He created a one-of-a-kind meticulously layered archival print. Images of dancers in classical performance poses and the central pointe shoes are demonstrative of his hallmark pop influenced style. An Omni present white swan appears to be morphing into human form - or is it a human form morphing into a swan?

Greetings!
Now that we are in the second month of the New Year and the holiday craziness is history and resolutions are well settled into our minds, I can't help to reflect on the past year of a day-in-the-life, or more suiting...a year-in-the-life of a professional working artist and his devoted life and art partner, yours truly...
| | Aqua Show Poster, Art Basel 2010 |
We capped the year with John's third consecutive installment during Art Basel, Miami and the second year being represented by Cancio Contemporary at The Aqua Fair. John's work has been exposed to an international bevy of curators, collectors, critics, gallerists and art enthusiasts and now hangs in private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. |

| | The Burden of Amibition, June 2010 |
2010 bestowed many other opportunities, from the Burden of Ambition exhibition comprised of over 12 new works at Brett Wesley Gallery, Las Vegas where nearly 2000 art-hungry enthusiasts attended the three day opening. The Vegas A&E press embraced John's art unlike any other city he's been in. Seven Magazine published a cover and editorial, and the 10 city 944 Magazine featured John and his modern habitat and local NPR radio affiliates broadcasted interviews. The Vegas press was not the only outlet to take notice, the national art magazine Blue Canvas rolled out a profile and interview while the Salt Lake City-based, revolv magazine gave a nod to his modern masterpiece.

| | Contemporary Masters sculpture, June 2010 |
John's participation in the Salt Lake Art Center's 337 Project Contemporary Masters, artist designed miniature golf where he created a piece of sculpture expertly disguised as a playable golf hole. The Art Center sold the sculpture to a private collection at the close of the exhibition. 2010 was also a unique year of departure from displaying on traditional gallery walls with John's inclusion in Mikell Stringham's Mondo Fine Art, Modern Values symposium at Light Spot Modern and partnering once again with Mondo in would you like to become a fan where our house served as a modern art gallery on a gorgeous fall day. The house would become a personal gallery for several months where we enjoyed inviting collectors and art enthusiasts to view the work in an intimate setting. |
This reflection would not be complete without acknowledging the extraordinary people for whom it would not be possible to report on these opportunities and who we consider to be our partners in art. Thank you all for your vision, energy and talent.
