"I am always searching for a new pictorial language to add to my work. Once I finish with a set period of ideas and feelings, I have to find a new visual language to carry on -- a new way to express an evolving sense of exploration and understanding by incorporating different forms and ideas into my visual vocabulary."

ArtistArtist John Bell will exhibit a new series of work at Aqua Art Fair in Miami's Wynwood district during the famed international Art Basel Art Fair, December 3rd - December 6th, 2009

Bell's paintings comment on, and evoke questions regarding current social and economic issues, including the impact of social networking, media influence, and the ever-fluctuating values of contemporary culture.

The largest piece exhibited at the fair, entitled; The Warhol Prophesy Supernova #1 (pictured below) will be the highlight of the exhibition booth at the Aqua Fair of art dealer and consultant Luky Cancio, Cancio Contemporary  who represents Bell in Miami and New York. This piece links Warhol's famous quote "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes" with the intense media circus that social networking has become. Asking the questions -- "the future has arrived, the question is -- are there enough minutes for everyone to get there 15? and with tongue-in-cheek...would you like to become a fan?
