Potluck Dinner
Come join us for a pot luck dinner and an evening filled with fun and fellowship! For the potluck we ask that you bring (optional, you do not have to bring anything) a main dish, salad or desert to share. All utensils, plates etc: will be provided by DCA. If you decide to prepare something "special" that is great, if you decide to bring something that was "on special" at your favorite market, that is fine too!
A White Elephant Gift ?
Our White Elephant gift exchange has become an annual event that promises to bring lots of laughs. Adults are asked (again this is optional) to bring a wrapped gift that will be put into a box and drawn at random! Remember, a WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT can be anything, a gag gift, something you received that you just can't wait to pass on to someone special, get rid of it now!! The point is, it can be anything, have fun with it!
Kids gifts are provided by DCA!
It is a privilege for DCA to provide gifts for all of the kids in attendance. Our only wish is that you bring your children and that they have fun!

How do Christians support others? You raised $10,338.10 that was donated to the the family of Marvin Robbins!
Desert Christian Archers would like to thank each and everyone for their support at the "Marvin Robbins Tribute Dinner and Fundraiser".
It was an evening that displayed the overwhelming love that many people knew for this special friend.
Fellowship Hall was packed and those in attendance demonstrated what love, friends and caring for a brother is all about!
Barbara, Marvin's wife, asked us to share the following note of appreciation
Please pass this on to all the Desert Christians
Archers.
"To any and all of you who had any part in
the banquet given in honor of Marvin, I sincerely thank you. Our whole family
has been overwhelmed and very grateful for your outpouring of love. Also, I
want to thank you all for helping us from the time we heard of Marvin' death
until this present time. I pray that God will richly bless each one of you.
With love and prayers that your Christmas will be
blessed with God's love, peace and joy."

Who are the "Desert Christian Archers"  We are a chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America formed in 2001, we are governed by a Board of Directors (5). Our hopes are to create a venue in which to meet and share common interest such as; our Lord, the Bible, bowhunting, and developing and growing friendships.
What do the "Desert Christian Archers" do?
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in room 204 at Calvary Community Church.
We have had many great Bible studies, some taught by members and others by visiting Pastors. We have sponsored hunting seminars on many species and have been treated to some great speakers such as Randy Ulmer, Marvin Robbins, Corky Richardson, Steve Chappel, Dave Conrad, Brian Wakling, Dave Myrick and Fred Cronk! These are some of the best in their field!
