Suggestions for Ham, Lamb & Chocolate Bunnies

We'll start with the HAM:
Trust me here. Ham = salty and slightly sweet. So the best match will cut through the salt and mirror the sweet. A dry wine, when confronted with sweet food will just seem unpleasantly dry. A little sweet goes a long way to making a really wonderful food pairing. Still don't believe me? I'll offer up a few other suggestions as well.
Donnhoff Estate Riesling 2007 (Nahe, Germany): Slightly sweet, beautifully balanced, a taste of one of Germany's masters for just $20. Our #1 ham pick. $19.99
Chateau de Rouet 2008 Rose (Provence, France): So you won't trust me on the Donnhoff recommendation. Than how about a rose? This one just arrived and it's blend of subtle fruit and fresh acidity would work nicely. $14.99
George Descombes Morgon 2007 (Beaujolais, France): For those who absolutely insist on a red, we'll offer up a Cru Beaujolais from one of the region's top producers. If you think Beaujolais is just alcoholic fruit punch, this one could change your mind. $23.99
Now onto the LAMB:
Pinot Noir is the classic choice. We have a number of good bottles at a range of prices, from $10 on up. A few to consider:
South American: Cono Sur ($10), Jelu ($14)
New Zealand: Mud House ($19), Spy Valley ($27), Amisfield ($37), Felton Road Cornish Point ($65)
California: De Teira ($26), Brogan Cellars Russian River Valley ($60)
Alain Graillot/Thalvin Syrocco Syrah 2006 (Zenata, Morocco): Go completely non-traditional with a Syrah from Morocco. Dark fruit + a touch of dried herbs and meatiness make this a surprisingly perfect lamb companion. Trust me - it's good! $16.99
Clos Bernarde Tete de Cuvee 1999 (Provence, France): If Moroccan wine is a little too edgy for your lamb, try this Provencial red offers up dried herbs, red fruits, and soft, mellow tannins that come with 10 years of aging. $24.99
And finally, the CHOCOLATE BUNNIES:
Lingot-Martin Vin de Bugey-Cerdon (Savoie, France): I'm always looking for reasons to pull out this slightly sweet, utterly charming, sparkling rose. Chocolate bunnies are as good a reason as any. It also would pair with marshmallow chicks. I managed to get a good deal at the distributor, so it's now on offer for $19.99. (Regular price: $21.99).
