Domaine de la Noiraie Bourgueil Rose 2007 (Loire, France): Yes, another rose. We told the sales reps 'No more roses!' but sometimes they don't listen very well. Good thing too, because when we tried this one we couldn't resist. 100% Cabernet Franc, aromas of watermelon and a hint of fresh green cucumbers add a refreshing zing. (Only 50 cases available for the entire state of New York, so this won't last long.) Price: $14.99
Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Margaret River, Australia): Way over on Australia's west coast, Margaret River is home to some of the country's best Cabernet. This one is a bargain - dark fruits, cassis, and an herbal edge (bay leaf? tobacco leaf?) that's the key tell that you're drinking Margaret River Cab. It's a cross between the fruit of California and the elegance and complexity of Bordeaux. (11 bottles available). Price: $29.99

This Week At Frankly Wines
In this newsletter, we're highlighting some fabulous wines we don't want to sell - because we would rather keep them for ourselves. But this being a business rather than a personal cellar, we need to sell the wine, not just drink it..
We're also featuring some new arrivals, including a case of fantastic Cabernet we managed to snag from one of our suppliers super-secret close-out lists.
Finally - we're planning our first ever pre-sell offering and it's going to feature...are you ready for it...Chateau Musar (wine geeks are cheering, can you hear them?) Stay tuned for details.

WINES WE DON'T WANT TO SELL
How's this for a business strategy: bring in some hard-to-find, fabulous wines, hide them away, and try not to sell them to paying customers. Brilliant, no?
Well, that's one of the hazards of owning a wine shop - wanting to keep stuff all to myself. But since I'd like to keep the store open for a while, I'm giving lucky newsletter readers a sneak peak at what's squirrelled away in my secret stash. Quantities on these wines are very limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-come basis, so if you're interested, call, phone, or email QUICKLY!
DONNHOFF RIESLINGS (Nahe, Germany)
Donnhoff is one of the absolute top names in Germany. His wines define sublime and send wine geek types into fits of silence because words can't do them justice. And really, how often can you snag a region's very best wines for less than $50?
