PSI Leads World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders on Learning Journey

Last week, PSI had the pleasure of leading 30 of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders on a learning journey through one of the poorest townships in South Africa to meet with those most affected by HIV. There, a YouthAIDS peer educator led a role-play session to highlight dangers, such as cross-generational sex or sexual encounters at a young age. Read more about the learning journey... 
PSI, Partners Announce Scale Up of Male Circumcision in Swaziland, Zambia

During the World Economic Forum, PSI and our partners announced the launch of the Male Circumcision Partnership, a new project to scale up voluntary male circumcision services in Swaziland and Zambia. With funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Partnership will provide male circumcision services to nearly 650,000 men. The HIV epidemic in South Africa is widely prevalent among people ages 15-49. PSI, operating in South Africa as the Society for Family Health, has been implementing a national youth outreach program, YouthAIDS, to generate awareness about HIV/AIDS among township populations. As part of YouthAIDS, youth peer educators spread the message of responsible sexual behavior through a variety of venues. Learn more about PSI/SFH's work...
