CEO Insight: A Message to
President-Elect Barack Obama

Karl's Message
Dear President-Elect Obama,

As you take office, many challenges confront you. The financial crisis and global uncertainty will tempt many to recommend reduced spending and savings on such traditionally unpopular programs as "foreign aid".  Don't be fooled.

At a fraction of 1% of total spending, the foreign assistance budget is not the difference between solvency and debt here in the U.S. It is however the difference between life and death for many millions of poor and vulnerable people around the world.
