BIBLE BLAST! On a sunny Saturday morning this fall, third graders and their families from Saint Paul Church and School gathered to learn more about the Bible. The third graders are at an exciting time in their lives as they have the reading skills to begin studying the Bible in the classroom, both in our day school and our Sunday school here at Saint Paul. During our Bible Blast event, we opened with a couple rounds of "Chair Snatcher" and shared our favorite Bible people and stories. Then Pastor Kris led everyone on a walk through the Bible. He talked about the books of the Bible, how to look up passages, and how to use the concordance. He also pointed out many of the special features in the Bibles we use. As an extra special treat, he read us passages from his Bibles in Hebrew and Greek. To end our time together, we raced against the clock to put all 66 books of the Bible in the correct order. The third graders and their parents accomplished this task in five minutes, fifteen seconds. Way to go! We definitely had a blast!

THE RULES OF THE ROAD Saint Paul second, third, fourth, and fifth graders recently got a review of the road rules for safe bike riding. Following an in-house presentation, the four grades headed out to the Bicycle Safety Facility ("Safety Town") in Elk Grove Township. There they were able to get some hands-on practice on bikes as they rode around the park, challenging themselves to remember the rules for railroad crossings, one-way streets, four-way intersections, and various other signs and situations. Kids had a lot of fun! And the administrators and volunteers at the facility commended the students on remembering to wear their helmets. Way to go Saint Paul kids!

We Love Chapel!
Every month, students in PreK and Kindergarten go to their very own Chapel services! These special "Jesus Times" are led by a Pastor Marc, Pastor Kris, Miss Dari, Mr. Tony, Mrs. Heinze, or sometimes even a special guest teacher from the "big grades" upstairs! Parents, grandparents, and friends are always welcome to join us. Check your schedule or ask your teacher when the next PreK/Kindergarten Chapel day will be!
